This is your friendly reminder that the time change in most of the US is approaching on March 10, 2019. As we "spring forward" an hour, The Picky Mommy wanted to share some tips and tricks that we have found worked for us over the years.
Chiao-ih: When K was little we tried going to bed 10 min early each day for a week prior to the change in time. Though it wasn't perfect and he didn't go to bed exactly at 7 when the time change hit, after an extra week it had worked well.
Daysha: We've never done anything special. It's never been a problem for us!
Sarah: We work on the time change in the fall, not in the spring. We just try to get her back on track as quickly as possible.
Annie: When it is time to Spring Forward at our home for Daylight Savings Time, G can certainly get revved with energy and suddenly the hour is late! Sleep is a perishable commodity at our home so I do not hesitate to give her Zarbee’s Naturals Children’s Sleep with Melatonin. Melatonin is a natural supplement that helps her to calm and to be ready to fall asleep. We take it for the first few nights after Daylight Savings to help her adjust to the time and catch those ZZZ’s
What have you done that's been helpful to getting your little back "on time"? Here's to wishing you a wonderful time transition!
