Language App for Littles: Muzzy

Do you speak a secondary language at home or hope your Little can speak another language well? I recently found Muzzy for my 6 year old and wanted to share it with you.

I grew up speaking Mandarin Chinese at home as a second language but I haven't been great about making sure my kids also speak it. My parents did me and my brother a service by sending us overseas during our summer breaks. And when you want to play with other kids, true immersion is the way to go to learn another language.

As an adult, I have benefited tremendously from being able to speak Mandarin and have been actively looking at ways to ensure that my kiddos can also speak the language. While most language courses and apps are for adults, Muzzy is specifically created for children. Your child can learn Chinese, Spanish, French, English, German, Italian, and Korean.

Muzzy is basically an animation with episodic and overall storyline plots. Each episode builds upon the last and similar to many programming these days, you purchase access for a specific amount of time. You can watch on many devices including mobile, computer - desktop and laptop, and TV.

It's been fun because already, my son is engaged with the stories and asking questions in Chinese. You can try a free trial, to make sure it's right for you and your Littles.
