Book Review- Ramona the Brave

Our little is in first grade and this book is perfect. One of the great aspects is there are so many emotions and life lessons that a child learns while transitioning from kindergarten to first grade. I love how the story tackled the differences in personalities between Ramona’s kindergarten teacher and first grade teacher, and the struggles that Ramona had to go through to get used to that difference.

Another great aspect is the communication and perceptions between Ramona and others. It allowed great conversation between me and my little one.

You can build a lot of fun activities out of this story to do with your child as well, such as making a paper owl, Ramona’s creative way to build a shoe, and baking cookies.
