Book Review: Raising Independent, Self-Confident Kids by Wendy L. Moss
Child Independence- The good, the bad, and the Ugly
As parents, we want what is best for our children. I think that most of us can agree that at the end of the day, we want kind and collaborative human beings. That our child can problem solve, yet know when to ask for help.
It is hard as a parent to let go. It can feel scary or uneasy, as our little ones venture out to try things on their own. First steps, climbing on the ladder at the park, or even going off to school are all things that our child must do.
I have found a good book that I wanted to share with you. “Raising Independent, Self-Confident Kids: Nine Essential Skills to Teach your Child or Teen” by Wendy Moss and Donald Moses. It allows us as parents to put to use real life skills.
So don’t worry, you are not alone. We are all on this journey together.
