There are so many things I want to tell you about with this picture.
Like how this is my best-mom-ever who walked and rocked our little guy for HOURS before he finally fell asleep. Just so I could get a break and luxuriate in a shower and also get stuff done around the house. Personally, I think it's because she had him facing out. Clearly it was too stimulating because he wouldn't nap and would complain when we tried to face him in.
Or that weird and not-so-easy-to-put-on carrier that she's using that she picked out in some market in China that you'll never find but that market in China. Just kidding. You'll probably find it in a lot of places in China. She brought it for me to try and I like using the bottom half. My mom was committed to using the whole thing to show me how awesome it is after seeing a few new moms with it.
But the thing I'm going to talk about is that chair they are both snoozing in. You see that reclining, gliding awesomeness in a beautiful tweedy grey? It's also electric. That's right, friends, ELECTRIC. It's amazing because you can easily adjust the leg and back extension with an easy and gentle push of a button - no searching for a handle that is barely out of reach and waking baby.
I actually got it when I was pregnant and couldn't find or put together the perfect amount of recline so that I could sleep and keep my acid reflux at bay. My pregnancy sleep situation was ridiculous now that I'm nearly a year away from it, but man oh man, I needed all the things to help. I'll save that for a later post. This chair, called the Babyletto Kiwi Electric Recliner and Swivel Glider, has turned out to be one of my favorite nursery purchases and I will go as far as saying has saved my life because I need more sleep than most.
PS - bonus perk - there is also a USB charging port so gone are the days where you're held hostage by a napping baby with 1% battery power left. That is unless you forget your charging cable.
